Expanded PVC is a lightweight, semi-rigid plastic that's great for puppet mouthplates and other structural supports.
Why is it great for puppet-building? Expanded PVC is:
- Easy to cut, requiring just a hobby knife or pair of scissors (for thin sheets); no power tools necessary
- Easy to shape due to it's thermoplastic properties
- Waterproof (sweatproof)
- Flame-resistant and self-extinguishing

- Resistant to many chemicals and solvents (using Barge Cement is not a problem)
